Fly on The Wall Recall « Result #2 on Oct 28, 2009, 10:08am »
The Fly lands at the Ft. George.
Fox: This doesn’t look good at all.
Shakey #1: How are we going to spin this?
Eyes Too Close Together: All the time I spent on this. I could have been working another part-time job.
KKKarl: We may still be able to get Ann out. It’s close. Do you know she is responsible for me not getting my COLA in my Social Security check?
Fox: How is that?
KKKarl: That’s what Josh told my wife. He said that Ann is responsible for letting the Mafia in the county and they now control our checks.
Shakey#1: Alex is here to take our photo. Everybody look friendly and concerned.
Hiker: Do you think anyone will notice that none here of us live in any of the recall districts?
Fox: Or even in the county?
Eyes Too Close Together: We have to spin this to show how many people support our position. Make Hazen aware that we need a voice.
Fox: You “the will of the people?” The will of the people is on his side, not ours.
Shakey#1: They are going to spin it to show that the majority of the voters support LNG. We have to spin it to show their campaign was deceptive, just like how they do that to us when we win.
Hiker: This doesn’t look good for my campaign against Roberts.
Eyes Too Close Together: It’s hopeless. Even if we do oust Ann we don’t have any candidates to fill her position and the Commissioners get to pick her replacement. That will give the replacement a leg up on the election in May. Good thing I only donated $10 to our cause.
Shakey#1: We will be especially screwed if Josh gets that job. We won’t have anyone calling the shots behind the scenes.
Hiker: We still have Steve.
Shakey#1: Without Josh Steve wouldn’t know how to wipe his ass.
Eyes Too Close Together: We are doomed. LNG will be here. Maybe we should all just take our red shirts and move to Antelope. There is no LNG there.
Hiker: There are no salmon to save there either.
Eyes Too Close Together: Maybe we can save some lizards.
KKKarl: I’m still here and I can hear you, you know…
So, am I the only one who thinks its weird that the state spends all the time and resources to investigate a 'crime' that was past the statute of limitations?
Am I the only one who thinks the larger 'worth' of this sham investigation is so that the District Attorney can now be the 'behind the scenes hero' of the anti-LNG world, given that the Port will be using this information to get them out of the lease with Oregon LNG for their property?
There is another piece to this puzzle, I have a feeling. Probably we will never find out.
Yes.
Yes.
Oh! You will.
No.
No.
Not adequately. We know for sure we will never truly find out the "generating force", although we all know who it is.

How much of the TAXPAYER'S money was wasted on this FIASCO?
NO ONE thinks it is a conflict of interest when the same attorneys represent County and the Port, or both Astoria and Warrenton, even when they are all bickering over the same plots of land! No one thinks it is a conflict of interest when the port NOW has hired an Neikes' attorney Tienson to work out the port's land dispute regarding Skipanon Land that Neikes ALSO disputes!
Yet, the almighty Department of Justice can find a conflict of interest when a PR firm represents both the Port and one of its renters??? Somewhere, buried in this dross of taxpayer waste is, supposedly, a real reason Marquis once more used his DOJ card to sic and investigation for his own political benefit?
PUHLEEEZ! All this is is a political witch hunt to keep people busy so they won't be looking for someone to run against Marquis. When he doesn't get the US Attorney spot he wants to be sure his sugar daddy job as our DA is still waiting for him.
Josh Marquis is pure corrupt slime, using his office to advance his political goals and retaliate against those he perceives as an enemy.
I'm Edgar, a Horse Fly that just happened to buzz by you "common" house flies and read what some of you have been up to in this community. As a horse fly I get around outdoors and hear a lot from the people who live in the communities outside of ... what's that old town that's sluffing off and smells like mildew... ah, that's right Assss toria. Not all of us flies, horse and common house, live in Asss toria, but in other communities we common sense prevails and caring about your neighbors is part of our lives. The Asss toria devil and his fly shitters haven't infiltrated and corrupted our community, and we don't want them here polluting and shitting all over our lovely community. How sad it is for you "common house flies" to waste your precious short lives on Asss toria "crap", when you could be working toward helping your neighbors in need or the elderly. Shame on you "common house flies", shame on you!!!!
::) ::) ::) ::) ::) Oh Brother Elite hypocrit! Helping neighbors and the elderly! HAHAHAHAHA! That's a good one! What, is the camera on 'em or the CassyJoe team following 'em for an "exclusive"?

The other thing I noticed is that Joshua Marquis kept saying something about how there 'could be a lot more information in that document'. He said that a few times, as I recall.

It comes down to leadership. When you have someone like him in the DA slot, and the publisher of a newspaper with the power of the pen, you have decay in a community. I agree with Glenn, Astoria used to be a great little town, I grew up there to, I wouldn't live there again though. The local leadership in that town just stays quiet, you don't see that when you cross the bridge and head south, why are the electeds in Astoria so afraid to stand up? oh I forgot Marquis and Forrester rule astoria.

You are so right. Why would Josh spend all that time on money investigating a case he couldn't do anything with because time had limited out?
Josh is just a pawn of Forrester and his anti LNG minions. Josh still has a chip on his shoulder concerning Hazen, Samuelson and Roberts. I really hope someone unseats him in the next election so this count can start to heal itself. Once LNG is a reality here and Josh is out of office, maybe then Forrester will understand his opinion and his power fixation is not worth two squirts of piss here.
